Sarah Bohl Photography Blog bio picture

Sarah Bohl Photography (the blog)

I laugh. A lot. A portrait session with me is fun, not stiff and formal. I love getting to know my clients, whether for a family shoot or a wedding. I find creativity in new places, and am inspired by so many things. I've teared up at every wedding I've shot, and I'm known to get pretty excited when I capture an amazing moment.

Sarah Bohl Photography is all about telling a story. The pictures I take become memories, stored to look back on whenever you choose. A framed photograph on the wall becomes a tale of growing up, of new ventures, or of starting a new life together. It's the story of where you were and what you hope for the future.

If you'd like me to photograph a special day for you and help tell YOUR story, feel free to contact me at sarah@sarahbohlphotography.com. Also be sure to check out my website, and be sure to visit my Facebook page!

Abby&Nathan - update!

Hi friends!

I’ve been absolutely horrible with keeping up this blog, and I’m so sorry! I now have a full-time, 40-hour-a-week job in addition to all my photography, so that’s kept me quite busy! Luckily, I still have nights and weekends to photograph to my heart’s content, and I’ve definitely taken advantage of that. I have a lot of pictures to edit and (eventually) share with you all!

Today, though, I wanted to give you an update on Nathan and Abby! They were one of the first weddings I photographed last year, and what a way to start off! So many fun traditions, an amazing couple, and a beautiful day of celebration. If you forgot, here are a few moments from their day (ignore the old logo):

Like I said, a truly memorable day.

I met up with Abby in Lake Geneva awhile ago to go over her album design. Abby brought her friend Maria along, as Abby was pretty far along in her pregnancy by then, and I thought I would use that time/opportunity to have Abby share some advice for current or future brides. Here’s the video of that chat (if you’re viewing this as a note in facebook the video won’t show up, visit http://sarahbohlphotographyblog.com to view the original post):

So, to sum up:

1. The combination of traditions and things that really meant something personal to herself and her husband really made the day not only unique, but personal.
2. You should enlist people to help you plan your wedding, but make sure your wedding is how you want it, not how other people think it should go.

A little while later, their gorgeous albums arrived!

By this time, Abby&Nathan had welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their hearts and lives. So when I delivered the albums to them, I also got to take some pictures of baby Aria! :o)

I remembered this picture from their engagement shoot…

So we tried to do something similar with their growing family:

(Not exactly the same, but you get the idea). :o)

3 generations: Abby’s mom, Abby, and Aria.

Phew! See, I told you I had a lot to catch you up on!

Nathan&Abby, it’s been a joy to share all these great moments in your life with you! I can’t wait to see what your next adventure will be! :o)
