Sarah Bohl Photography Blog bio picture

Sarah Bohl Photography (the blog)

I laugh. A lot. A portrait session with me is fun, not stiff and formal. I love getting to know my clients, whether for a family shoot or a wedding. I find creativity in new places, and am inspired by so many things. I've teared up at every wedding I've shot, and I'm known to get pretty excited when I capture an amazing moment.

Sarah Bohl Photography is all about telling a story. The pictures I take become memories, stored to look back on whenever you choose. A framed photograph on the wall becomes a tale of growing up, of new ventures, or of starting a new life together. It's the story of where you were and what you hope for the future.

If you'd like me to photograph a special day for you and help tell YOUR story, feel free to contact me at sarah@sarahbohlphotography.com. Also be sure to check out my website, and be sure to visit my Facebook page!

Raspberries on a desert island :o)

The other day I was having a monthly get-together with some amazing friends (I think all women should have mandatory get-togethers, you feel so refreshed afterwards!), and I told them about how much I love raspberries. You know that getting-to-know-you game where you ask someone what three things they would bring with them if they got stuck on a desert island? One of my three things would definitely be raspberries. THAT’s how much I love them. :o)

And for some reason when the weather turns warmer I just *have* to get some fresh fruit. Must be a summertime thing. Unfortunately, none of the restaurants around here serve that sort of thing, so I decided to check out a local specialty food store that I thought might have a good selection of fresh fruit. Oh man. I’m in trouble. I officially love that store. Check out what I found:

20100402-img_0005Look at all those raspberries! Now, I don’t know about where you live, but here in the midwest raspberries are a luxury. Especially when they’re not in season. So to see this larger tray of raspberries was like heaven to me. It was a little pricey, but actually a lot better than what I expected. Yum.

That store is so close I think I might try to take a long walk over there on a summer day and check it out again. I’m excited. :o)
