Sarah Bohl Photography Blog bio picture

Sarah Bohl Photography (the blog)

I laugh. A lot. A portrait session with me is fun, not stiff and formal. I love getting to know my clients, whether for a family shoot or a wedding. I find creativity in new places, and am inspired by so many things. I've teared up at every wedding I've shot, and I'm known to get pretty excited when I capture an amazing moment.

Sarah Bohl Photography is all about telling a story. The pictures I take become memories, stored to look back on whenever you choose. A framed photograph on the wall becomes a tale of growing up, of new ventures, or of starting a new life together. It's the story of where you were and what you hope for the future.

If you'd like me to photograph a special day for you and help tell YOUR story, feel free to contact me at sarah@sarahbohlphotography.com. Also be sure to check out my website, and be sure to visit my Facebook page!

Erica and Martin :o)

If I’ve photographed your wedding or if you’ve been at a wedding that I’ve photographed, you’ve most likely met Erica, my second-shooter/assistant/friend extraordinaire. Erica is probably the busiest person I know, so I’m always thrilled when I get to work with her or hang out with her.

We got to catch up over dinner and shopping a week or so ago, and then on Saturday I drove to Fort Atkinson, WI to hang out for a while and take some pictures of Erica and Martin, Erica’s boyfriend. Erica and Martin met at UW-Oshkosh in the music department. Erica is studying to become a music teacher, and Martin graduated last year and now IS a music teacher. :o)

Unfortunately, we only had a few minutes to get a few pictures, but it was worth the drive to see her and to meet Martin! :o)

Here are a few from our quick photo shoot:

I love the expressions here:

By the way, we had to climb down the most ridiculously icy steps EVER to get to this location! I was slipping and sliding and hanging on to the railing and worried that my camera would fall and die, or that I would fall and die, or that I would fall ON my camera and we would both die. Obviously, we all made it out okay, but it was pretty scary for a minute. It probably didn’t help that I was laughing, too… :o)
