My birthday party was last night!
Since I was away on the PhotogRetreat Cruise during my ACTUAL birthday, I had to plan my party for later in the month.
I made a video telling everyone that we were going to have a photo booth. And they could either bring props (or a costume) relating to one of my favorite movies (”While You Were Sleeping” and “Amelie”), or they could do something relating to THEIR favorite movie. Here were the hilarious results!
I love love love that Mary wore her wedding dress! Can you guess what movie is her fave?

She even brought a bouquet!

If you guessed “Runaway Bride”…you’re right! The shoes were the clue. :o)

Anna’s favorite is actually a series of movies, so she brought one of the books that the movies are based on. Great idea, Anna!

Jessica didn’t have a costume or a prop…but she brought William! So we got a picture of the two of them. :o) William is going to be a big brother any day now!

In “While You Were Sleeping” there’s a part where she wears a really big sweater and pulls a present out of her sleeve. So Bonnie demonstrated this skill.

Haha…this one’s just a funny one of Bonnie, so I had to include it. :o)

Jana, Danielle, and Karen drove up from Chicago for my party! Here they are being “mean”…

Haha…but as you can see, that didn’t last very long!

Danielle peeks out from her ‘burn book’…anyone who has seen “Mean Girls” will understand…

Karen has the very-dangerous ‘pencil-in-the-back-pocket’ that caused so much trouble in “While You Were Sleeping.”

A remake of “While You Were Sleeping” would not be the same today as there are no more tokens for the El, just plastic cards. Jana brought her Chicago transit card for the photo booth.

The Chicago girls and their props…

JoAnn put some time into her props, not only bringing her copy of “Pride&Prejudice,” but also…

…acting out some of her favorite quotes!
(”In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.” - Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth Bennett)

(”It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.” - The first sentence of P&P)

(”I hear such different accounts of you as puzzle me exceedingly.” - Elizabeth Bennett to Mr. Darcy)

(”What are men compared to rocks and mountains?”)

Love it, JoAnn! :o)
Mary used one of the quotes too…
(”A lady’s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony, in a moment.” Mr. Darcy to Miss Bingley, P&P)

I was, of course, “While You Were Sleeping”:

Cathy was stylish in her bubble wrap…taken from “Amelie”.

Haha…poppin’ the bubblewrap!

And Amber had an oversized sweatshirt for hiding presents in sleeves, too! :o)

I think all my parties should have photo booths from now on! :o)
