Sarah Bohl Photography Blog bio picture

Sarah Bohl Photography (the blog)

I laugh. A lot. A portrait session with me is fun, not stiff and formal. I love getting to know my clients, whether for a family shoot or a wedding. I find creativity in new places, and am inspired by so many things. I've teared up at every wedding I've shot, and I'm known to get pretty excited when I capture an amazing moment.

Sarah Bohl Photography is all about telling a story. The pictures I take become memories, stored to look back on whenever you choose. A framed photograph on the wall becomes a tale of growing up, of new ventures, or of starting a new life together. It's the story of where you were and what you hope for the future.

If you'd like me to photograph a special day for you and help tell YOUR story, feel free to contact me at sarah@sarahbohlphotography.com. Also be sure to check out my website, and be sure to visit my Facebook page!

Allison&John&Stella - {portaits in the snow!}

Yesterday (was that just only yesterday?) I introduced you - briefly- to Allison&John and their adorable dog Stella. Actually, if you’ve followed my blog for awhile, you’ve seen Allison&John before…they were both at Paul&Laurel’s wedding! (Which makes sense, since John and Paul are brothers…)  :o)

After all the e-mails and phone calls and “hey we should do that photoshoot soon” conversations, it was especially wonderful to take these photos. And what a contrast to my photo shoots last week on the beach! :o)

Allison&John have been married for 8 years…which I think is amazingly awesome.  It was hard to narrow down my favorites!

Being a former film major, I was especially annoying and kept yelling “Stella!!!” I know, not original. But fun. :o)  But then I incorrectly referred to “On the Waterfront” as the source of the semi-famous name, when every good former film major should know that it was another Marlon Brando film, “A Streetcar Named Desire”. Whoops!

Despite my Marlon Brando references, Stella was a trooper in the 32 degree weather…and so cute!

I’d say her owners were pretty photogenic themselves… :o)

It was such a beautiful winter day…the sun was actually out, creating some great light!

:o) I love these last 3 pictures so much….and I took them while holding onto Stella’s leash! I’m kind of proud of that….haha!
