Two big things I wanted to share with you all.
First, I wanted to let you know about an event that my friend and fellow photographer JoAnn Klandrud and I are hosting. It’s a one-day, two-photographer, rapid-fire portrait day. If you or anyone you know is looking for some portraits for the holidays, for their business, for senior pictures, or otherwise, this is a quick - and affordable - option!
A $30 session fee gets you a 15-minute portrait session with myself and JoAnn (we’ll both be snapping away at the same time, so you’ll have plenty of shots to choose from).
And MY personal favorite part of the day is that HALF of your session fee is going to World Vision to pay for animals for families in 3rd world countries to get some food and income.
The tentative location for this event is Seven Bridges at Grant Park in Milwaukee, so if you’re in the greater Milwaukee area, this event is for you! :o)

The second thing is for all you fellow photographers out there. There’s a great workshop/vacation/networking opportunity coming up this January, and I wanted to share the info with everyone. One, because it’s awesome, and two, because I’M GOING! It’s a weekend-long cruise to the BAHAMAS, January 7-10, 2010. I’m especially excited because my birthday is on the 7th, and this will be the first time ever I KNOW that I won’t see snow on my birthday! Yay! :o)
It’s a great deal and some amazing photographers like Scarlett Lillian, Stephen Knuth, and the Bui Brothers will be teaching, so be sure to check it out if you’re interested. I think sign-up ends tomorrow, so act fast!
